The Louisiana Contractors Accreditation Institute, a partnership between LED, Louisiana Community & Technical College System and the Louisiana State Licensing Board for Contractors, offers this and other seminars and courses to small and emerging construction businesses that assist in building a strong foundation of knowledge within the construction industry.

The General Contractors Seminar provides foundational technical knowledge essential to general contractors to sustain a business within the construction industry.

  • Virtual 10-week course, with two-hour sessions twice a week.
  • Taught by industry leaders.
  • Offered via Zoom, a fully interactive web-based video conferencing tool
  • All information and materials disseminated during the LCAI General Contractors Seminar will be focused on commercial construction.

Eligibility

The LCAI General Contractors Seminar is open to all who have the intent to start or currently have an established construction based Louisiana business.

Register at Fletcher Technical Community College and follow the steps once the registration period opens. Course fee is $350.

Participation requirements: Attend at least 80% of the virtual 10-week course, with 2-hour sessions twice a week, to qualify for course completion.

Yes, if you are intent upon starting a construction related business you are eligible to attend the LCAI General Contractors Seminar. You do not have to be in business yet.
