What I do

Dean of the College of Engineering at Louisiana State University

Why I moved away

“I moved away from Louisiana when my parents moved away from Louisiana. They both had careers that took them away and were really the only ones in their whole large extended families to leave. I had cousins and people I had grown up with as siblings, almost, and so it was really hard. This has always been home.”

Why I moved back

“I love LSU. It's transformed the lives of many people in my family. I know how much people in the state love LSU, not just for the sports … for leadership and academic excellence. I thought (taking this position) was a great way to give back and have a new chapter. I'm super excited. I feel like it’s full circle.”
